In Memory of Fred Gilliam

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend, dedicated volunteer, and fellow trapshooter Fred Gilliam, who passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

Fred was a valued member of our club and a familiar face on the trap line. He was always willing to lend a hand, whether helping around the club, volunteering his time, or sharing his knowledge and passion for trapshooting with others. His dedication to our club and the shooting community will not be forgotten.

Fred will be deeply missed by the many friends and fellow shooters whose lives he touched. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22, from 4:00–7:00 PM at Tidd Funeral Home, 9720 State Route 161, Plain City, Ohio.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 23, at 10:00 AM at Forest Grove Cemetery in Plain City.

Out of respect for Fred and his family, Madison County Fish & Game Association will be closed on Tuesday, September 22. Our scheduled Club Championship will be postponed until Tuesday, September 29, allowing our members and fellow shooters the opportunity to attend Fred’s visitation, mourn his passing, and celebrate his life.
